Bryan and Idoia’s Wedding 2: Surprise Video

foto-3

In my post Bryan & Idoia’s Wedding 1: Ceremony I linked you to a video by Gag Producciones of my wedding ceremony. Here is a video from the same company of the surprise video that me and my bride, Idoia, arranged for all the guests — but particularly her brother.

The video was shown during dinner. The video was mostly filmed and edited during the day itself before it was shown. Top work from Gerardo and Romina at Gag Producciones.

Enjoy!

The Difference Between Men and Women

lo2262

1. MAN

MAN goes into bathroom. Sees WOMAN did not open bathroom window after shower… Again. This despite her knowing that the extractor fan does not work and therefore the window must be opened to prevent EVERYTHING GOING MOULDY.

MAN purses his lips, shakes his head, mumbles under breath, and opens window. MAN says nothing to WOMAN about this, ever — because it’s midly annoying, but just not that big a deal to stress everyone out about.

FIN. End of story… forever.

2. WOMAN

WOMAN goes into bathroom. Sees MAN did not put toilet seat down… Again. This despite her telling him that he has to do this many times before.

WOMAN storms out of bathroom, nags man, drags him into the bathroom like a naughty boy, even if he’s on the phone to his Mum/boss/God, and makes him put the toilet seat down and berates him for leaving it in such an uncouth up position. MAN dutifully obeys and lowers the lid.

WOMAN keeps bringing up ‘toilet-seat-gate’ at any and all possible occasions, and many impossible ones, too: at random dinners, at parties, at weddings, in the cinema, whilst making love, and usually and especially in the middle of everything actually going pleasantly.

And WOMAN NEVER LETS IT DROP, EVER, FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES AND WILL EVEN KEEP BRINGING THIS ONE “INCIDENT” UP LITERALLY YEARS LATER ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF ARGUMENTS ABOUT OTHER STUFF.

3. SUMMARY

Ah, domestic bliss…

All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Jesus Mark Appears On Tree

image

In the United States, a ‘Jesus’ mark has appeared on a tree to a grieving son. Brian Quirk says the resemblance of Christ popped up on a silver maple on the sixth anniversary of his father’s death. Read the full story here.

Now, I don’t wish to mock a grieving child who lost their father. I lost my father, too. But this is clearly a case of wishful thinking; why would the almighty maker of the universe, the being who set up the very laws of nature, the alpha and the omega, why would He manifest Himself in a slice of toast, some spilt coffee, or as in this case, a tree? Funny thing is, when I first saw this ‘Jesus’ mark, the first thing that sprung to mind wasn’t ‘Jesus’; I was genuinely stunned by how closely it resembles the FIFA World Cup trophy! It’s got its arms and legs in the right position, and it holds aloft a sphere. Clearly a sign that the USA is going to win the world cup…?

Brian Quirk’s neighbour Nancy said, “Even speaking about it I get chills … It’s so evident what it is, it’s amazing”. Yes, it is amazing; USA, football world champs? Whodathunk?

‘Jesus’ Mark Appears On Tree, Says Bereaved Son

A US man says Jesus has appeared to him on a tree.

Brian Quirk says the resemblance of Christ popped up on a silver maple on the sixth anniversary of his father’s death.

Curious residents of North Providence, Rhode Island, have flocked to see the eye-catching 3in (7.6cm) mark.

Mr Quirk says he noticed the arboreal anomaly as he worked in the front yard of his home, after visiting his father’s grave.

He told the Valley Breeze: “Curiously, it is in the same area where my father would sit outside during his last few months before losing his battle with cancer.

“My mother remains with my family and is recovering from open-heart surgery. A devout Catholic, she finds comfort knowing the image is there.”

Mr Quirk’s neighbour, Nancy Ganem, was in no doubt that it was a sign from above.

“Even speaking about it I get chills,” she told CBS News.

“It’s so evident what it is, it’s so amazing.”
